There are so many beliefs and view points about children with autism and so many methods and techniques that are suggested by specialists. Parents and teachers just want to do what is best for the child yet the choices can be confusing. How do you know what techniques to use with your child? What will work? How do you avoid upsets and change behaviors?

Join the APS teachers along with our guest Trina Rice, Occupational Therapist, MBE., CFMW. Trina will share her insights into working with children with autism and techniques she uses to provide more ease for kids, parents, and teachers.

Trina Rice, OTR/L, MBE., CFMW is the owner of Harmony Therapeutics, LLC. She has over 18 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working with kids of all ages, including adults and families of all kinds. She is known to have a great connection with children particularly those with special abilities. She has the ability to see kids and adults for the amazing capacities they have, beyond any limitations, disabilities, diagnosis or labels. She blends traditional Occupational Therapy training with manual therapy techniques, including Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, massage and Access Consciousness tools and processes......with a splash of fun added. Trina brings allowance and play into her work, along with self-discovery and gentleness. Trina  has a Masters degree in Bio-Energetics and is an Access Consciousness® Certified Facilitator and Access Consciousness Body Process Facilitator, along with several certifications in other body work practices.
