May 13, 2010 – Howard Hewitt could change his name to “The Voice” and no one could argue with him. In the current drought of singers and songs of substance, Howard Hewitt rains soul down on the world like manna from Heaven. Howard is the thread that binds R&B, Jazz, and Gospel panels into a beautiful quilt. Howard Hewitt’s voice is featured on multiple classics with the legendary group Shalamar. The defining moment of Howard Hewitt’s career came when he poured his entire being into an amazing expression of gratitude to The Most High when he delivered “Say Amen” to the world.

Born and raised in Akron, Ohio; Howard moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of his dream. The quintessential small town kid makes it big story, he has been to the musical mountain top, and he has fallen from grace only to rise again. Through it all, the one constant has been the quality of the music the he continues to create.

Howard’s voice is a classic like Coca Cola and Apple Pie - to listen to him sing is to get a sermon in soul. WAGTi Radio is honored to showcase a living legend; Brother Howard Hewitt, aka The Voice!
