Clifford Brooks III double majored in History and Political Science for a BS degree from Shorter College in 1999. He is a Pulitzer and Georgia Author of the Year nominee for The Draw of Broken Eyes and Whirling Metaphysics (two books under one cover), which is his first major work.  It is published by traditional press John Gosslee Books out of Lynchburg, Virginia. Clifford lives in Athens, Georgia.

His poem I Saw the Klan Today, and his epic poem The Gateman's Hymn of Ignoracium have been nominated for Pushcart Awards. The first two printings sold out in less than three months. It's now available on Barnes & Noble.com and Amazon as well as the Fjords Review webpage.
