This week on The Knee Jerks, Eno and Big Al give their takes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons.

  • The ever inconsistent Tigers reached the midpoint of the season at the top of the standings, but they sure took a roundabout way of getting there.
  • The All-Star Game rosters were announced, with 3 Tigers making the AL squad - Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez and Max Scherzer.
  • Rick Porcello is having a breakout season, which included tossing back-to-back complete game shutouts over the past 10 days.
  • The Red Wings were shutout in free agency, save for one seeming panic move - the re-signing of defenseman Kyle Qunicy.
  • The fan base is asking "What happened?" Dumbfounded GM Ken Holland has essentialy said, "I don't know."
  • The Pistons signed a badly needed 3-point shooter in free agent shooting guard Jodie Meeks, giving the fomrer Laker a $19M, 4 year deal.
  • Rumors abound the Pistons are targeting Kings guard Isaiah Thomas, which may invovlve a sign-and-trade deal allowing Detroit to unload power forard Josh Smith.

There's all that and more, including "Whose Birthday Is It?" and our "Jerk of the Week!"
