Join me as I interview an Ordinary Hero just like you, Eric Marley of Portland, Oregon.

Eric, now in his mid-forties, remembers his first Call to Adventure occurring at age 24, but he refused it. Raised a Mormon, Eric was a newly married college student when he had his first inkling that he might be heading down a path that wasn't for him. With all his friends, family and life centered in the Mormon Church, Eric proceeded with his Ordinary Life for another 20 years, until the Call to Adventure became too great to ignore any longer. Now with 3 children, Eric answers the Call to Adventure, turning his Ordinary Life upside down.

Eric's first move was to cut ties with his former Church. He immediately immerses himself in Native American Culture to find "his truth". He meets his guides and supporters and begins to learn the skills necessary for the Approach, the Ordeal and the seizing of his Prize. Come listen as Eric recounts where he now is on his Ordinary Heroes Journey. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll root for Eric, while seeing yourself in his journey and be encouraged to say, "yes!" to your Call to Adventure.
