Breast Cancer Awareness, Men Get Brest Cancer Too is our topic on The Core Business Show with Tim Jacquet. Touched horribly by the dreaded breast cancer, Dusty was determined to unleash a fight against the disease unlike any other. He took to wearing a giant, fuzzy pink bra, not to mock but to inspire. In 2009 Dusty formed The 2nd Basemen. While the majority of The 2nd Basemen are women, the movement is a tip of the hat to the amazing men that stand with women in the fight against breast cancer. “I love the men that do the crazy things to get the attention for
the cause and to make people smile,” Dusty says. “But the greatest hero is that man that sits quietly by his partner’s side, holding her hand. Not wanting anything other than for his wife to live. That is a 2nd Baseman. Because of his “in your face” way of bringing awareness about breast cancer while at the same time maintaining the dignity and respect of those he is helping, Dusty has been referred to as “the most recognizable man in the fight against breast cancer.”
