    We Must Forgive

    Genesis 50: 17-21

    17
So shall ye say unto Joseph,
Forgive, I pray the now, the trespass of they brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face;and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.

19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not:for am I in the place of God?

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass as it is this day, to save much people alive.

21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Note: Oftentimes, we find ourselves in the same predicament as Joseph ie... thrown in a pit, falsely accused, thrown in prison, and even forgotten. Yet God gives us favor in every situation!  When we thought we couldn't go on, God provided us the strength and energy to endure as a good soldier!

In retrospect, we must consider the fact that Joseph could have thrown his brothers out; however, he didn't! Joseph restored his brothers just as God instructed job to do concerning his friends. In other words, we are to love inspite of the hatred or jealousy shown toward us. This is hard but we can do it through the Power of God!

As we continue to press toward the mark, it is a process, we must remind ourselves to love! No matter how difficult...God has empowered us with his Holy anointing! We must remember that He has given us what we need to endure. So go ahead and love them to life! Take the time to restore someone even though they have done wrong! I guarantee God will step in! He showed us how when He died on the cross for sins He never committed!

    God Bless...Stay encouraged!

    Repairers of the Breach

    Bridging the Gap
    Current mood: calm

Many in this season will find that God has positioned some to be the repairers of the breach....

These individuals will be responsible for bridging the gap in situations that seem abnormal....

Everyone can't stay at the homefront.  Someone has to go to the other areas within the kingdom and show them Christ!

In other words,  God is calling for many of us to go beyond the walls of confinement and allow Him to position us throughout His kingdom in the areas where we will benefit Him the most.

I know many would rather stay in their comfort zones and change nothing.  However, to make an impact we have to go....The Lord came for the sick not the healthy.

    Okay Breathe and get moving!

  • Date / Time:

    Connections?

I know this is a touchy subject for a lot of people...  When have we actually taken the time to really examine our connections?

    Examples on the subject

(1)In Judges chapter 1 God told His people to send Judah.... Judah asked Simeon to go with him??? History tells us that their Dad told the boys not to connect with Levi or Simeon.... We know that Levi went on to be dedicated to the Lord; however, Simeon....

    (2)
David's relationship with his friend Jonathan took him to a new place.

    (3)
Jehosophat's connection with Ahab almost cost him his life...

    (4)
Ruth's connection with Naomi brought her to God, Boaz etc...

Recently (very recent), I reconnected with a friend of mine; it's been about 20 years.  She and I were very close from Jr high through the majority of high school yet God separated us.  We had a good connection no arguments etc... God had a plan.  We bumped into each other several times over the years but God did not allow us to reconnect until now.

All separations aren't disconnections.  Let me explain:

Some are in your life for the duration. Some are in your life for the moment/season.  Often times we try to hold onto connections that have run there course... We have to stop brow beating people because their time was up.

Another thing (puzzling) why do we only see the vision God has placed on us yet can't see what He has placed on another.  Oh.... We ridicule one another trying to determine who has the greatest anointing, who God called first, and who should submit their gift to whom.

What does that have to do with connections?

God did not tell us to dictate how long a person stays or when they go...Even if they leave prematurely.  God is still in charge.  Time out for manipulating or attempting to control others.  God's word will never change.

Leaders if they left the building... Oh well! Get over it and move on! Quit trippin'.  They still belong to Him not you! As a Senior Pastor I find it amazing the number of people that feel this way.  I have had numerous conversations with leaders that were upset because Sis pancake and Bro Flapjack left their ministry.

There are some that God will disconnect you from because they are impeding your progress in Him.

There are some that you have become over nurturing, or an enabler to and He separated you from them.

Then there are those that He never connected you to and you connected anyway.

    FLIP SIDE

    Questions???

Did someone disconnect and how do you feel about it? How has your attitude been concerning the matter?

Did God move someone from around you because they added nothing to your life or perhaps you added nothing to theirs?

We need to take another look at connections and really seek God's face as to what He wants us to do.

Don't burn a bridge unless you are certain GOD said to do it!

     A Word of Knowledge:

Many of you in the last couple of years noticed a shift in your connections and assumed that people walked out on you.  You tainted yourself by speaking against them and even spoke curses over them.

Some of you assumed that the previous separation was not God and so you disconnected yourself.  You need to repent first! Then you need to humble yourself before God and allow Him to instruct you as to your next move.

God separates us from others for various reasons and He does not have to tell us when, why, how, etc...  Be Careful.  Be very careful... The one you thought was gone for good may be the very one that God is going to use in your life in the upcoming season.

    Be wise yet harmless...

  • Date / Time:

    Wounded

One of the things that I have pondered for years as a minister. Something many don't want to address...The wounds in the pulpit.

Oftentimes leaders will pour and pour into others yet have little to nothing poured back into them.  I have watched leaders literally leave ministry because of frustration and loneliness.

Some leaders will pull from other leaders and 'dump' them when it is time to pour.

We have some issues that need to be addressed...

Some feel they were dumped when actually they were separated by God for a season. This is not repeat not what I'm talking about.

I have had leaders to call me hurt and frustrated trying to figure out why they were dumped.  Wondering if they had done something wrong.

They unfortunately trusted other folks (usually other leaders) only to find themselves dumped after being used....

For example we have modern day Davids running from modern day Sauls trying to figure out what went wrong.

You have Micaiahs simply telling the truth and being thrown in prison for it...

Also there are some Josephs ....No matter what they do the brothers can't stand them and throw them into a pit.

Yes I do realize that God knew these things would be....

Come on folks let's be real about this....One of the areas of ministry the Lord has placed me in was helping leaders through their struggles, hurts, frustrations etc..

We tend to overlook the fact that ministry does not shield from hurt, issues etc...

Sometimes ministry makes you an open target to more darts.

We don't pray for our leaders as we should....

There are a few armorbearers who got into the game for their own gain (2Kings 7:1-end).

In this scripture the King was distraught. Famine had hit the people by way of the Syrians....

He sent a servant to behead the prophet.  The prophet sheltered the servant considering the fact that he was simply doing his job.
In the meantime, he went to the gate and spoke with the King's assistant and told him that this time tomorrow everything would change .

The assistant didn't believe him nor did he share the news with the king.

The prophet told him you will not be a partaker...

The man saw the crowd the next day and they trampled him underfoot.

The King was distraught... This lord at the gate was more concerned with his position then helping the people.  The Bible said He sent His word and healed them. (Psalms 107: 20)

All that is needed is a word from the Lord... Somewhere folks began to believe that certain leaders don't need help because they hear from God.  This is not true.

True leaders of God have a dual nature.... They are both Shepherd and sheep....

I have not found the word undershepherd in scripture anywhere.  If you have then email it. (Thank you)

The Shepherd side administers the word to God's people.  The sheep side needs it poured in.  Sure many say this is the job of that Shepherd's covering.  Okay so then we refuse to admit the number of Saul's that roam.

Sad to say a number of leaders face this from other leaders.....

More to come on this subject ....
