When I began exploring possibilities for improving my health and quality of life, the journey led me to enroll at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become certified as a Health Coach. Combining what I learned at IIN with the wisdom I've gained over the years from my own life experiences and from coaches, counselors, mentors, books and classes has made it possible for me to create a career of of service that is deeply fulfilling. As a Health Coach, I now guide and support women in similar transitional experiences, (divorce, retirement, career shifts, health challenges) to more quickly and easily navigate these changes with more clarity, balance and confidence. My focus is on reducing stress and improving health by teaching about nutrition and how to realistically create ways to include enjoyable physical activity and relaxation exercises as a daily practice. Extreme stress can not only make us physically sick, it blocks us from accessing, trusting and following the guidance of our own inner wisdom and intuition. I’ve lightheartedly named my coaching method “Sassy Zen”, after the inspiration cards I design. A definition of Zen” is, “…contemplating the essential nature of one’s self from one moment to the next.”…and the “sassy” spin I’ve put on it is, “Don’t butt heads – especially not with yourself.”
