Host and genealogist Antoinette Harrell has spent decades collecting photographs, oral history, documents and family histories of African American people in Tangipahoa and St. Helena Parishes, Lousiana. This past week she donated over 25 files to Southeastern Louisiana University. The collection were received by Dr. Samuel C. Hyde, Jr. Professor of history at Southeastern Louisiana University. The collection is rich in photographs, obituraries, church records, letters, Amite Colored School photograph and other records.
