Today's parents are faced with many challenges when raising their children. When a child disrepect their parent(s) they have truly across the line. Some parent(s) are afraid of their chidren. Many parent(s) are physcially and mentally abused by their own children. Proverbs 22:15 KJV says, "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him." But the American legal system says, what you choose as a "rod of correction" and how you use it could land you in jail.

Whatever happen to "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:1-4
