Please join host & genealogist Bernice Alexander Bennett and her special guest Hari Jones  the assistant director and curator of the Washington, D.C.-based African American Civil War Freedom Foundation and Museum.  He is one of the foremost authorities on the role of African Americans in the Civil War.  In his matter-of-fact manner, he reveals just how extensive and well-organized Americans of African descents were in their efforts to end slavery in league with the Constitution.  His knowledge, passion and zeal for history are apparent in his lectures.  For this reason, he is becoming a highly sought after lecturer and content adviser for exhibits on African American military service and the Civil War. Television appearance, including the History Channel, Public Broadcasting System (PBS) History Detectives, and NBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?” have also sought his expertise.
