Please join host Bernice Alexander Bennett and her special guest Barbara Ricard Landix.  Barbara a New Orleanian, whose family roots go back to 18th century Colonial Louisiana.

Since childhood she has absorbed anecdotes, and fragmented tidbits of information that provided valuable clues to the past through oral history. The information was also the driving force feeding her thirst and curiosity about her family's intriguing history.

Barbara’s first real steps towards casual research began nearly ten years ago after reconnecting with a cousin, Ingrid Rogers Stanley. Ingrid is an avid genealogist and co-founder of an organization called La Creole. La Creole is a New Orleans based non-profit family research organization dedicated to the study of the history and culture of the Creoles of Color of Louisiana through ancestral research, education, and celebration.” Barbara is a charter member of the organization.
