Please join host & genealogist Bernice Alexander Bennett and her special guest: Family Historian, Writer, Research and Presenter; Natonne Elaine Kemp. She has conducted extensive research in Virginia and South Carolina. Natonne, has identified other federal records compiled during the 1890s which lists individuals by name (only the immigration passenger manifests are comparable – in terms of the breath of the information listed – to the destroyed 1890 Census). The true gems are located at the State and local levels: Vital Records, Taxes, Land Transactions, Newspapers, Churches, Local Historical or Genealogical Societies, etc.
