According to noted authority,  Dr. Joy DeGruy-Leary, destructive behaviors learned for survival during the Slavery and Jim Crow Eras are still manifest generations later in descendants of slaves. Some say these behaviors are part of our culture, but that is false.

Queen Sheba, who escaped from the Mississippi Delta with the help of her mother said, "When war veterans return home they are deprogrammed.  Nothing was done for the slaves when they entered society."  See Mississippi Blues Queen, Sheba, and her escape from the Delta.

Join Hosts, Antoinette Harrell and Robin Foster, as we also identify the behaviors that prevent us from having strong realtionships within our families and community.
