We need to first of all take an inventory of the items in possession of our parents and grandparents or other family members.  We cannot expect this to be done efficently during the time of grief when photographs, rare book collections, antiques, silverware, china, real estate, and land are either thrown away or fought over.

Besides oral history, these items are some of the only reminders of our ancestors.  Many of them obtain these items after hard labor or from their progenitors.  How we do what it takes to preserve them for future generations? What happens to items not included in the will? This is something we were not taught by many experts and family members.

Join Hosts, Antoinette Harrell and Robin Foster, as we also discuss, appraising heirlooms, and what person in the family has been designated to take of these items and where they should be stored.
