Tracing my family history on my maternal side of the family for over sixteen years. I decided to trace the Harrell and Richardson side of the family. My paternal grandfather were the late Jasper Harrell, Sr of Amite, Louisiana and my maternal grandmother were the late Josephine Richardson of St. Helena. Louisiana. The Harrell's where in enslaved by Lewis Harrell and Hezikiah Harrell of Darlington, South Carolina. They first settled in Georgia and then in Amite County, Mississippi. From there they moved to East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The Richardson lineage traced back to the plantation of Benjamin and Cecilia Bankston Richardson of St. Helena Parish. Please join Host Antoinette Harrell and Co-Host Robin Foster as they discuss family history. Also joining me is Eddie Jackson, III my maternal cousin.
