Antoine Smith

*Update 01/06/2012: My name is Antoine Smith and I started this living document of family music history after listening to some of the cassette tapes of my relatives that passed about their lives and the ones that are still living. But, since then, I have received calls from others that were in local bands with my parents and relatives that wanted their names expressed also. So, I would like to give a special shout-out to the ones that were once in the local music bands and businesses connected to my family! (Just remember this is a living document that will be updated as I receive more information from my family that are still living.)

But I would like to add that we found some other cassettes tapes of my great aunt, who was the sister of my grandpa and others that had some really good stuff on it. After I get them transcribeed...I'll update more. Thx for reading!!!

My stepdad, Danilo - Latino (local) dj and rapper of hip-hop in Dominican Republic (DR).

My mom, Fuentes is my main manager. She was (aka Carolyn Miles) in local bands (Morning Maniac, Seduction, et al.) (funk/r&b/soul/jazz, and gospel) that ranged from Cleveland - East Cleveland - played 2nd keyboards, backup drummer, dancer, singer, comp. teacher, author, free-lance writer, and composer. Formed a few bands with her best friends David Oates and Faron Roland from East Cleveland - Oakwood Village yrs. ago. Also, she was in the John F. Kennedy high school marching band/cadet band/orchestra playing the clarinet and also sang for the choir and stage band (aka Spellbound) of J.F.K. She sang in many local church choirs and participated as one of their first drummers and was in a small singing group: Zioneers for her childhood church, Zion Chapel Baptist Church. She also took lead guitar lessons at Jimmy Landers Studio, clarinet & vocal lessons at the Music Settlement, and vocal lessons at the Cleveland Institute of Music was based in Cleveland, OH. Currently, she is my is my main mgr./pr/graphics and web designer. (Mom's pic will be inserted soon.) Currently, she composed her song, "Say My Prayers" added as a spiritual/meditation genre. Since she prays just about for everything in her life, I felt that as a producer of her music it was appropriate for her first song.
