How To Capture Bin Laden And Other Alqaeda Operatives
It's been 7 long years and we are no closer to capturing Ben Ladin than we were when we first invaded Afganistan in 2001. President Bush has stated that he is no longer interested in going after Bin Ladin, the one person responsible for the attacks on 911. The speech Bush made, standing on the rubble of the World Trade Center towers, about bringing to justice those responsible for this act of terrorism, was just empty rhetoric. Now the United States is deeply embedded in Iraq and the troops in Afganistan are being put on the back burner with very little support from the Bush administration. My thoughts are, if we focus on the war on "Terror" the War in Iraq will begin to fade. Alqaeda is in Iraq now enjoying the best training camp ever and in the process have managed to kill another 4,000 Americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens. Start building up the troop levels in Afganistan, actively seek out Bin Ladin and his cronies and we can begin to put an end to this senseless bloodshed.
I rather think that Alqaeda is pleased with the current situation in Iraq. They don't have to come to America to kill our citizens, They can just pick us off in their own land and save themselves billions of dollars in money spent waging a war inside our borders. Alqaeda is in Iraq because we are in Iraq. Let's move the war closer to the real enemy camped along the Afgan-Pakistani border. Capture Bin Laden and Al Zawahiri and the rest of those goons and we can begin to put an end to this war.

We finally seem to be making some headway in Iraq. The lastest NIE Report alludes to the fact that the Alqaeda leaders in Iraq are losing their confidence and some are even heading out of Iraq defeated and ashamed. If Gen Petraeus comes back in September with a positive report, we need to double the amount of the surge and press on to victory. Your Thoughts? indiana dave
