She was raised bi-cultural as a Ghanaian and as an American person, but then after college, she decided to become courageous and move to Europe to study design. Though she initially knew no Italian, she dared to learn Italian and became fluent in the language and resided in Milan Italy and she learned another culture. She also travelled within Italy and other European countries. I look forward to speaking to her about how her cultural experiences have shaped her perspective in life and how my book can help children see things in more creative perspectives. 00:31:00Author Ansaba Gavornochildren,Self help,Self Improvement,Self Esteem, bullyingIt's with great pleasure to have Ms. Afedziwa Hayford, an artist and designer, as a guest on my show.  Ms. Hayford comes from a diverse background. Call or tune in to discuss my book called Children Are Like Cupcakes 2nd Edition as we talk to guest speaker Ms. Erica Hickson. This is a wonderful book comparing different kinds of cupcakes to childhood diversity. I am a family therapist and founder of Gavor Psychological Services, LLC.  I think this book will help children at a very early age become less targeted by bullies.  I was inspired to write this book because I was raised bi-cultural. Many of us have to live in two cultures, one at home and one in the outside world, and this goes for all races coming from diverse parenting styles. At times it makes going to school difficult in fitting in with fellow peers.....please call in and let's talk about how I came to form this book and what I want our parents to teach our children about accepting their unique selves and how it relates to our growing up, even if you want parenting advice about your children...tune in Monday March 31st at 2:00pm, Eastern time. 00:45:00Author Ansaba Gavornochildrens books,anti-bullying,multicultural,mental health,Self EsteemI look forward to hearing from you!
