Burl here...and for once, I'm NOT freezing my cajones off!
I'm in Orlando right now on a business trip, killing some time before my flight back to snowy, mind-numbing cold Chicago. I am actually sitting in a pretty cool coffee shop, Mobile Mud. They actually have two different locations: here in Orlando, and another one in Wisconsin! Now THAT'S diversity!
While I was sitting here, I couldn't help but overhear the owner discussing a fundraising event that will be taking place here next Wednesday with the organizer. Leave it to me to work my way into the conversation, huh?
Long story short, it's an Aids Research fundraiser, tied into the Aids/LifeCycle foundation. I had a great conversation with the organizer (even added them to our MySpace page!) and she will be sending me the specifics of the event to be held here in Orlando on Wednesday. The reason I'm mentioning this is that it looks like we may very well have a "Live Remote" call from the event during our Hump-day Havoc show. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
I feel very strongly that we all need to do whatever we can to help those in need, and I am very well aware of the good things that the Aids/LifeCycle group has done. Let the "wheels keep on turning" as we "gear up" for for a "wild ride" to promote a great event. Were there enough cliches there for you?
Gotta run...I've got a plane to catch! Don't forget to check out The Greenlight Cafe tonight at 8pm EST as Annie and I guest co-host with Eddie.
Be good people,Burl
