In this show we will explore what is meant by 'the healing power of art'? In early 2009, I began looking for a new focus for my art that would provide meaning while giving something of value to others. I approached Steve I have had the opportunity to meet incredible individuals who have faced unimaginable pain and worked their way through their grief. These seven families with whom I have worked have lived through the experience from beginning to end and then moved beyond. Now, they volunteer in efforts to assist other families who are experiencing similarly difficult situations. These efforts include fundraising, participation in hospital events, and activities to support patients and their families. They volunteer their work in the memory of their child. -Gaynor Nelson
