Join us as we celebrate the history of Hampton University, located in Hampton Virginia. On November 17, 2010 an announcement was made that noted historian and author Bennie J. McRae Jr., donated his archives on the African American military experience to Hampton University, located in Virginia. There are many folks in America that have no knowledge of Hampton University, and it's contribution to the African American Community. This is an opportune time to share the history of this prestigious university. Dr. William Harvey, President of Hampton University received the The Bennie McRae Jr. Collection, and remarked that it is a landmark contribution to the memory of the United States Colored Troops."
