Guest: Lone Morch

Angelica welcomes Lone Morch to the show today. Writer, fine art photographer and coach, Lone Mørch is the author of the memoir From Kailas to Kali and the creative soul behind Lolo’s Boudoir, where she helps women break free from stale self-images and spark their fire and inherent beauty within. With a background in int’l development, education, coaching and media production, Lone draws upon her deep interest in the creative process, evolution, storytelling, archetypes and sensual spirituality. Her writing has been published in Danish, Nepalese and American magazines and newspapers, such as San Francisco Chronicle, Huffington Post, Magical Blend, ECS Nepal and Nova, and anthologies like Mothers-in-Law Do Everything Wrong, To Nepal With Love due in 2011. In 2002 Lone was award the Mary Tannembaum Literary Award for Non-fiction for the first version of From Kailas to Kali as well as Honorary Mention by Writers Digest for her essay, “Hitched by Elvis.” In 2007 she received the Silver Solas Award by Travelers Tales for her story “Thank God for the War.” Her transformational photography has been featured in Instyle, San Francisco Chronicle, the Examiner, 7×7 magazine, Daily Candy, Splendora, La Bella Bride and numerous blogs and she has shared her insights about body, image and sexuality on Bliss Radio, Self-Love Studio and SF TV. Her photography has been exhibited in San Francisco at the City Hall, Castro Theatre, Hotel des Arts, Mina Dresden Gallery and the international Supperclub as well as at the town square of Vevey in Switzerland. Born in Denmark, she came of age in Nepal and now calls Sausalito, California her sanctuary. When not writing, photographing and developing new creative projects, Lone can be found hiking the trails around San Francisco with her faithful Chihuahua, getting groovy on the dance floor, cooking up a storm with friends, sipping tasty things and exploring distant parts of this wondrous world.
