For over 20 days, a group, which started with 17 people, has become quite a popular movement. They've gathered at the Washington Mall, in the name of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”.

Not surprisingly, Barack Obama last week, paid the group a visit, hailing their “fast”, and praised their efforts. In San Francisco last month, he said, “right now, I’m seeing brave advocates who have been fasting for two weeks in the shadow of the Capitol, sacrificing themselves in an effort to get Congress to act”. He also said, “I want them to know we hear you”.  “We’re with you. The whole country hears you”.

Michelle Obama Tweeted, “brave#Fast4Families immigration reform advocates. We’re with you. – mo.”. Vice President Biden even visited, as well as other Obama pundits.

Illegal immigration cannot be legitimized or sanctioned by starvation. I call It is starvation, because the cause it not right, and certainly not for the pleasure of God.

As far as Barack Obama is concerned, the ONLY definition of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”; is full amnesty to those who not only are here illegally, but whose very countries of origin would not be so amenable to others, entering their nations, illegally.

Critical Discourse took up the topic a while ago, and it's high time for a redux. The real voices must be heard; voices that demand that the rule of law be followed, and that illegality not rewarded, even if this impacts 12 million “undocumented” persons *.

And most assuredly, the black community must recognize the dire consequences of illegal immigration on the black community at large, whether or not Barack Obama cares to recognize this.

* By the way, since they’re “undocumented”, how do we know that there are 12 million, in the first place? - HMMM!
