DHR students Launch Talk Radio show

Central High StudentsWill Host an Internet Based Show for Teens

Talbotton, GA(November 4, 2009) - On November 5, 2009 at 4 pm, the DHR Program of CentralHigh School will premier its first talk radio show for teens.  The show “Central Talk” gives teens theopportunity to express their feelings and opinions on a host of issues.

The premier episode will feature a discussion on school pride.  Future episodes include discussions onteen jobs, abstinence, sports and teen financial literacy.

Carsland Copeland a junior will serve as the firsthost.  Each week a differentstudent will host the show.  Whileproducing the show, students are given the opportunity to learn what eachposition on a radio crew does. Students will serve as host, producer, publicist, and switchboardoperator.

“We are excited to premier our show,” said Cindy Trice DHR Youth Councilor, “Thestudents have had an outstanding time producing the radio talk show.”
