Celebrating Fathers on Father's Day

Tonight, our attention is focused on the origin i.e. the emergence of Father’s Day; and, honoring fathers as an important part of family and society.  We are to give them their just dues as contributors to society in the whole scheme of things.

Believe it or not, Father's Day official idea was actually conceived by Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd, in a church in Spokanee, Washington commonly known as Spokane.  She conceived this notion during, a Sunday sermon on Mother’s Day in 1910; two years after the first Mother’s Day observance was held in West Virginia.
