A common misconception about Judaism is the false erroneous claim that Jews are put above non-Jews by being the "chosen people". And any attempt to describe the differences in mission and obligations is then dismissed with the "seperate but equal" argument, as if people not being the same is the same as having seperate buses and water fountains. On this episode, I will deconstruct those left-wing Atheist arguments and misconceptions with the facts. What does it mean for Israel to be the "chosen people?" I will show that it does not mean better. Israel just happened to be the nation to receive the Torah. Other than that, there is nothing special about Israel. Chosen means appointed, not better, as I will show on this show.
