Candid discussions on any subject that moves us, as a nation -- econonomically, spiritually, socially, and politically -- toward the "more perfect union" our Founding Fathers spoke of and that our "living and breathing" constitution makes potentially attainable. This is a call-in program. Your input is invaluable. With the election of its first biracial president, many see America through a less prejudiced lens. Does this mean the white American prejudice is subsiding? Are most white Americans unaffected by negative imagery portrayed in the black performing arts? Do more white Americans now judge us by the “content of our character” instead of the color of our skin? What say you? Listener call-in number is: (347) 945-7347.

Troy Anthony Davis is fighting for a new trial that evidence clearly says that he should get. President Bush - according to famed author and attorney Vincent Bugliosi - should be prosecuted for murder. And ex-convicts - who have already paid their debts to society - still fight for their right to vote. Is American justice truly Blind? What say you?

In 1991 Troy Davis was sentenced to death for the 1989 shooting death of a Savannah, Georgia police officer. Seven of the nine non-police witnesses have recanted or contradicted their testimony. Many of these witnesses have stated that they were pressured or coerced by police. His execution is slated for Tuesday, September 23rd. Many have expressed that he needs a new trial. What say you?

Today I am joined by Hip-Hop artist KoSha, who is also a Chicago police officer. We will discuss my latest article (appearing on My BlogSpot Thursday Sept. 5th). It deals with race deprecation and misogyny in the performing arts. And, of course, we will listen to and discuss her music. I say the race deprecation and misogyny by blacks, heaped upon blacks need to stop! What say you?

This is my first show linking the subject matter to an article on My BlogSpot. I discuss my take on the way the Democratic National Convention was covered and ask America to be fair in their voting, come November. This particular article I have entitled, "Being Fair". I invite commentary on the article. I will be discussing the artcle AND the comments as well. What say you?

A good friend, who is a community organizer in his own right, contends rather convincingly that Jesse Jackson's "castrating" comments about Obama are part of an aggregate sacrificial strategy designed to give Obama the national spotlight every six weeks or so and the opportunity to separate himself from the militancy of the "angry" black man (as well as the "white liberal" like Father Michael Pfleger). That in this strategy, Jesse Jackson, Jr., and Deval Patrick become the spokespersons for middle ground politics, making sure that they criticize anything "angry", offbeat, or radical, on Obama's behalf. He speculates that Al Sharpton is probably the next one on the list that Obama will have to seemingly step away from. Thus, the animus seen building between Obama and "angry" black men constitute a mere ruse to placate white Americans who might otherwise withhold their vote for a President Obama fearing that he would "paint the White House black". What say you?

I've been advocating for years that black Americans need to have a Black Political Party MINDSET if not an actual party. We need to vote in EVERY election and ONLY for the candidate who addresses our unique circumstances -- even an independent, win or lose. Then BOTH parties will see that we WILL VOTE, but not for them. They will THEN COURT our vote because most politicians ONLY concern themselves with the VOTING PUBLIC. Non-voters don't count. By voting, but not for them, we can gain political clout. What say you?
