A big part of my prepping recently has been centered around communications. I’ll discuss how and why I used FRS radios, CB radios, and my weatheradio. Also, having just completed my HAM radio course I’ll let you know what to expect if you’re thinking of getting your certificate. Also, I’ll tell you about my experiences with gardening, which has turned out to be a much longer setup period than I though and took a much bigger learning curve than I ever thought I would need. I’ll talk a bit about dehydrating food with my almost new Excalibur dehydrator and how it compares to other methods of food storage like home canning.

Last, but certainly not least, I’ll talk about the two day power failure we went through this fall and tell you about all the lessons I learned about how much energy I needed in comparison to how much I thought I would use. Don’t worry though, it all worked out in the end in regards to fuel storage, and I’ll tell you why.
