The life of the human family is contingent on how well we understand the past and the work to the future.  We don't know that the future is being worked on until we enter the present and then we have to work hard to clear up any misunderstandings.  The love, peace and happiness we search for is an investment in it, we only achieve it after we put in the mental and physical work.  The lives of those coming on to this earthly scene appear to be easier, but, they too have to figure ourt what else needs to be done and they take for granted the work of those before them and so mistakes occur and the repeat hapens.
