Listen in as Dr. Masum Momaya, the Curator for the Smithsonian’s Indian American Heritage Project, joins Sister Jenna on the America Meditating Radio Program. The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History recently opened the Smithsonian’s first in-depth examination into the history and culture of Indian Americans in the U.S., "Beyond Bollywood:  Indian Americans Shape the Nation,” which will be on display until August, 2015. The exhibition will then begin an unprecedented national tour in an attempt to reach as many people and communities as possible.

Dr. Masum Momaya has 20 years of experience working for women’s rights, human rights and social justice. She holds an honors BA in Public Policy and Feminist Studies from Stanford University and an MA in Education and PhD in Human Development from Harvard University.  Dr. Momaya joins us to discuss the concept and vision behind the largest ever exhibition on the Indian American community in the U.S.  Visit the Smithsonian’s website at www.smithsonianapa.org/beyondbollywood
