Tyrone Benjamin, (born 26th May 1987 in Brooklyn, NY) is a Gospel Jazz artist. He began playing the soprano and alto saxophone, at the age of 14. He was introduced to the saxophone during his high school years. Although Tyrone didn’t like playing at first, it was mandatory that he learned to play it. Tyrone was saved at the age of 18, and upon his high school graduation, he began opening up to God and dedicating his life to worshiping God through his instrument. He’s been inspired by the works of Kirk Whalum and John Coltrane.

Tyrone gained a passion to play music, through taking his relationship with God, seriously. In playing the saxophone, he enters into another dimension of worship, one in which his pure sounds and prophetic flow, are truly a blessing to the people of God. Out of the love that he has for God, and his passion for music, Tyrone hopes that through his playing, there will be an exchange that will impact someone’s life, giving them peace of mind, hope, and freedom, from the strongholds that are weighing them down.

The Lord has graciously allowed his music ministry to grow. Tyrone has played for various artists throughout the U.S. and abroad, particularly in Antigua. He has become a sought after musician in the tri-state area. He aims one day to become a recording artist; showing his ministry to people worldwide.

Tyrone is truly a man after God’s own heart. His humble, kind, caring and personable spirit, are surely a display of the love and grace of God has given him. In the words of Tyrone, “Words alone can’t express the love I have for God, the way I can express it through the saxophone!” For booking and more information, email: saximpactmusic@gmail.com and/or visit Sax Impact Music at: https://www.facebook.com/saximpact.
