About our Guest: With more than 25 years of experience in television journalism, impacting viewers through compelling, informative, and entertaining stories on television and on the web, Kim Covington is the weekend News Anchor for NBC affiliate, Arizona’s KPNX Channel 12 News. Her career began in Springfield, Missouri where she exposed a dark secret the city had hidden for nearly a century, the 1906 mob lynching on the city’s public square, which changed the face of Springfield. The series earned Kim more than a dozen awards including Missouri and Arkansas Associated Press Awards. “Ebony in an Ivory Tower” was later broadcasted on PBS. Kim holds bachelor of journalism degree from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism and has been an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for over 25 years.
