Yes we are .. we have two hours dedicated to the show for Wednesday, although we had to reschedule Patrick Lee from SciFi Wire, and we're trying to get a last-minute replacement in.

Sorry, Dunker ... but we absolutely warned EVERYONE at the TOP OF THE SHOW that there may be spoilers contained within for ANY SHOW that is broadcast already in the United States. I couldn't make that warning any clearer. If you chose to continue listening, KNOWING that "Torchwood" has aired its COMPLETE season in the United States, then I'm sorry, that was your decision.

WTF, I live in Canada and Season 2 of Torchwood has NOT aired but thanks for ruining it for me...

Show Notes

Once a popular weekly live online radio show, Alpha Waves moves to podcast format and has returned with original host Michael Hinman!
  • Featured Episode

    Date / Time:

    Category: Television

On Aug. 13, 1998, Michael Hinman launched a Web site known as Syfyman's World. It was meant to be a marketing experiment as he wanted to do a full-fledged television site. Instead, SyFy has become the new term for science-fiction. Join us as we celebrate 10 years of SyFy Portal!
  • On Demand Episodes

    Original Air Date:

SyFy Radio -- TV Addict Daniel Malen ... In New York

Unfortunately, Patrick Lee from SciFi Wire had to reschedule (again! Hey, he's a busy guy!), so we'll have him on at a later date. Instead, we'll bring you our good friend Daniel Malen from The TV Addict, live from New York, getting loads of stuff on all the upcoming shows. He'll have plenty to share with host Michael Hinman and all of you, including some cool news about "Fringe."

  • Date / Time:

    Last-minute schedule change

Yes, I know that we had Patrick Lee from SciFi Wire scheduled again, and yes, I know ... he had to postpone his appearance again.

But it's OK, because Patrick is a very busy guy, and I knew it would be hard to coordinate our schedules. But I promise we'll have him on before the year is out, even if I have to tie him to a phone! hahaha!

Anyway, Patrick is very busy in New York with the fall previews going on, but someone who can take a little bit of time live from New York is our good friend Daniel Malen from The TV Addict (thetvaddict.com). He's going to join us live from the great big city to the north and share some of the things that he's heard going into the fall, including some of the latest on "Fringe" on Fox, as well as something Edward James Olmos said about the finale of "Battlestar Galactica."

We always have a fun time with Daniel, so make sure you join us Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT at www.SyFyRadio.com!

  • Original Air Date:

SyFy Radio -- Cancellation of 'Stargate: Atlantis'

Just minutes before SyFy Radio aired, the world learned that SciFi Channel was ending "Stargate: Atlantis" after five seasons. Darren Sumner, the Webmaster of GateWorld, joined Michael Hinman to talk about the show's demise literally minutes after it happened.

  • Original Air Date:

SyFy Radio -- SyFy Portal 10th Anniversary Special

  • Date / Time:

    SyFy Portal's 10th Anniversary!

Tonight, beginning at 10 p.m. ET, SyFy Radio will celebrate the 10th anniversary of SyFy Portal, which started 10 years ago today!

That's a long time, and we have plenty of stories and interviews to share with you as part of the TWO-HOUR SPECIAL we're doing!

We'll also reveal two randomly selected WINNERS of the 2008 SyFy Genre Awards ... this will come more than a week before we actually release the full list of winners in this year's awards, which drew more than 50,000 ballots ...

So be sure to join us Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT at www.SyFyRadio.com!

  • Original Air Date:

    SyFy Radio -- Jane Badler/V

Jane Badler, best known to genre fans for her role as Diana in the popular miniseries "V" will join Michael Hinman on SyFy Radio to talk about her time on the miniseries, any hopes she might have for a "V" revival, and what she's up to these days.
