Once a popular weekly live online radio show, Alpha Waves moves to podcast format and has returned with original host Michael Hinman!

    Talk about running a marathon!

    Hi, everyone!

    Well, last night we were supposed to have Darren Sumner on from GateWorld. However, soon after the show started, we learned that our phone systems were down and we were not able to take in calls.

    Yes, I know, second week in a row we had technical problems, but that's good, because it will get those bugs worked out now, and we won't have to worry about them later. :) And I still feel that BlogTalkRadio is an amazing place to host a show, and I look forward to continuing SyFy Radio here for a long time (and you should think about starting a show, too! It's real easy!)

    Anyway, I didn't find out the phones were down until after I ranted at length about J.K. Rowling and did headlines, and was trying to bring in our guests. Nick Chase, our programmer, talked to BTR and found out that there's no way they could get the phones fixed before the show ends, and so they suggested we reschedule the show. Well, you know me ... I don't give up!

    And I didn't! I did the whole show all by myself. It wasn't easy because it's 90 minutes long, and it's designed to have some scripted content in the beginning, and then the rest is chatting with guests and callers. So obviously, I wasn't prepared to fill an entire 90 minutes without a commercial break or anything else ... and it was a fun challenge.

    So check out this week's show and see how I did. Unfortunately, my voice is one that doesn't carry for very long before it starts to die, and is not designed to go on for 90 minutes straight. So you can even hear my voice deteriorate .. hahaha! It's funny now, but it wasn't last night, lol!

    We'll reschedule Darren Sumner for another date, and sorry about that Stargate fans! We were looking forward to having him on the show, and we still are. 

    Don't forget we'll do our first call-in show Sunday at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, that is if our phones work. :) I'm sure they will, so please join us on Sunday and every Sunday!

    Next Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, we'll have Joe Beaudoin from Battlestar Wiki. :)
