Rod Pyle is a producer, writer and director of documentary programming for Discovery Communications and The History Channel, where he produced “Modern Marvels: Apollo 11,” among many other shows. Rod produced special effects for Star Trek and other programming at Paramount.  He has authored several books including "Innovation the NASA Way," "Missions to the Moon," "Destination Moon," "Destination Mars" and his latest work, "Curiosity: An Inside Look at the Mars Rover Missions and the People Who Made it Happen."

Rod is a graduate of Stanford University and was a visiting professor at University of La Verne.  He’s appeared on several TV and radio programs in Great Britain, Canada and the US.
