Alexz Johnson is a Canadian singer-songwriter-actress, yes all three, who has spent most of her life writing, singing, and performing music. She sees herself as a musician first and an actor second. those unfamiliar with her can find this hard to believe since she is much more well known to them for acting in movies like Final Destination 3 and Stranger With My Face.

She has been working for over 10 years on her own music. Her acting has given her familiarity to some of her music though. Shows like Instant Star and So Weird let Alexz Johnson stretch her acting muscles as well as her music muscles since both shows implements some kind of music. Most of her roles have her in some sort of singing or musical role as well. This is intentional and she goes to great lengths to keep everything she does acting in line with her musical direction.

Instant Star ran for four years and many people connected with her character, Jude Harrison. She spent some time trying to separate herself from her character. People automatically assumed her music would be the same as her character's. The show has been gone almost a year now and she is well into establishing her own music identity separate from Jude Harrison.
