Host Denise Ingeman interviews Ms. Mustang, Mikey Porter. “Mikey” Porter was riding horses before she could walk. One of the first female jockeys in the early 1950's, she began training horses in that same decade. She has specialized in the unique art of taming and training Mustangs for the past seventeen years. "Mikey" has been an avid ambassador for the wild horse since 1993 by exhibiting her own Mustangs, conducting workshops, demonstrating training techniques, and performing at major horse expositions. She and her Mustangs have won many awards in various disciplines and she is widely credited with increasing the respect of the Mustang in horse circles. Often referred to as "Ms. Mustang," this trainer and exhibitor of the wild horse has made it her quest to prove the Mustang, often mislabeled as inferior, to be capable of achieving the level of excellence exhibited by any other equine breed.
