    Today's CCC Action

A great day of CCC action has made things mighty interesting!  The Barnsley-Swansea game was a double-positive in my book, as my favorite manager Roberto Martinez got a 3-1 win, while Barnsley gets closer to the drop.  I don't dislike Barnsley at all, I'm just cheering for Southampton to stay up, as no one wants to see a club that big cease to exist, not even Portsmouth fans.  They got a huge 1-0 win at home over Palace, and they're only 2 points from safety.

Shakira's favorite team Forest had a scoreless draw with Sheff U that has them in the drop zone only on goal difference, and Norwich came away with a massive 2-0 win over Watford to take themselves out of the drop zone on goal difference.  This is going to be a real relegation dogfight, with 4 teams fighting for 2 safety spots, 3 of the 4 being historically big teams.

Elsewhere, Cardiff smacked Burnley 3-1, making Cardiff a certainty for a playoff spot and giving Swansea a bit of hope.  6th place Burnley are now only 4 points ahead of Swansea, and are running the risk of losing their playoff spot.  They have 2 extremely difficult ties coming up, at home against Sheff U and @ St. Mary's, where they'll face a Southampton squad fighting for their right to exist.  Both Burnley and Swansea also have a home game against Bristol City (isn't that a brutal finish for them?) but Swansea have an extremely difficult fixture @ Brammall Lane, followed by a pretty easy one at home vs. Blackpool.

The last 3 weeks of the CCC should be sensational!  Stay tuned...
