Congratulations to our very own John Murphy, Director of Scouting for the CFL Champion Calgary Stampeders! As many of you know, Murphy also serves as the Executive VP & Director of Scouting for the NFL Draft Bible, in addition to operating Next Level Scouting. The Stampeders defeated the Montreal Alouettes 22-14 in a thrilling matchup, as QB Henry Burris took home MVP Honors in the 96th edition of the Grey Cup.

The 8th Annual East Coast Bowl took place Saturday, November 29th, officially kicking off the college postseason calendar. John Murphy attended the week-long festivities and provided us with a scouting report on some of the top prospects who participated in the game, which featured the top players from Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA. The 2008 College Football Hall of Fame Induction takes places on Tuesday, November 9th at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. College Football Insiders Founder Daniel Mogollon will be in attendance and will be providing exclusive reports on location. Former USC greats, including Keyshawn Johnson amongst others will be honored December 31st at the Rose Bowl during the Class of 2008 Rose Bowl Hall of Fame Induction. Oklahoma junior Jermaine Gresham was named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week.

NFL Insider Ross Mandel goes Around The League for week 14. Next Level Scouting's JJ Pesavento takes a look at Who's Hot & Who's Not and suspended New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress has been burning up the airwaves. Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville's job was not in jeopardy when he decided to step down and he declined several requests from his bosses to reconsider. Despite earlier speculation by some mainstream media outlets that Steve Spurrier would walk away at the end of the year, sources tell us that Spurrier will indeed return to South Carolina next season. It was announced earlier in the week that Charlie Weiss will remain at Notre Dame, which bring us to our Quote of the Week:
