Nigel Alston is a former executive with GMAC Insurance and Executive Director for University Engagement at Winston-Salem State University. Well known as a motivational speaker, Dale Carnegie trainer, columnist and meeting facilitator, Alston has served on numerous boards and councils in the Piedmont Triad North Carolina area.

Nigel has served on many boards, received countless distinguished community awards and honors, and continues his labor of love. Alston is married to the former Sarah Littlejohn, a retired educator. They enjoy traveling, cultural events and reading.
