Treating The Symptoms Rather Than The Disease

Churches everywhere! In some small towns across America there are churches on street corners every couple of blocks. Modern churches have modern programs that rival the social programs of Roosevelt's New Deal of the 1930s. And just as some social programs are good to provide needed relief, so are some of the programs of the churches. However, treating symptoms does not cure any disease, nor will any program cure spiritual disease. There needs to be a fundamental change of the person brought about by the power of God.
