ALAN GELL, long-time automotive journalist, interviews JORY SEWELL, Field Manager for GMC.  Both were attending the noted Texas Truck Rodeo in Bulverde, Texas.  The Texas Hill Country north of San Antonio has been the site for the annual event conducted by TAWA - the Texas Auto Writers Association.

The 2013 GMC Terrain Denali is pretty much all new.  It is classified as a Compact SUV and sports a new 3.6 liter engine that offers 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque.  This is 22% more torque than last year's V-6 engine in the Terrain.  It is rated at 24 mpg on the highway.

The Denali-signature chrome grille, body-color fascias, unique headlights and tail lights, and unique 19 inch wheels set this vehicle apart from others.  A rear-seat entertainment system is available as an option.  The front seats both are eight-way power-adjustable.  The rear seat is a segment -exclusive MultiFlex siding configuration.

ALAN GELL is a long-time member of the Texas Auto Writers and former board member.  The Truck Rodeo was held at the historic Knibbe Ranch.
