The Volkswagen Passat is not a new vehicle being introduced to a waiting group of consumers. It is a proven, dependable automobile that has been completely redesigned this year for the North American market. The qualities and looks in the previous versions were more European and these have been softened considerably.
The ‘new’ Passat is not leaner and cleaner, but a very spacious vehicle, less expensive, and with more conservative styling. For the mid-size sedan segment, this is one terrific vehicle.
