Host Christal L Garcia will interview Nick Enriquez an attorney who works for the Social Security Administration. He is a Southern California native who grew up in the city of Glendora where he attended high school and where he was a motivated and involved student athlete. Nick had aspirations of finishing college and moving on to a possible future playing baseball. Before he would graduate from high school, Nick suffered a serious injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. For a talented and ambitious athlete, this would be a fate that could easily dampen all dreams. However, Nick tackled this new challenge with the same spirit and ambition that he had always applied to his life. He went on to graduate from the University of Southern California with a degree in Accounting and then went on to complete a law degree. Once a recipient of Social Security Disability benefits, he now works as an attorney for the Social Security Administration. Nick has had the gift of many kind voices in his life and is determined to pay that gift forward to others. He takes time out of his life to talk to others about his journey, and to answer questions some may find personal or uncomfortable, all for the purpose of demystifying his disability and erasing pre-conceived taboos, all the while bringing a sense of hope to those around him.
