(poet/writer) Eight of her poems have been published in five literary magazines, including Budzushammer, Main Channel Voices and SNReview. Recently, one of her poems about Obama has been placed in an upcoming anthology titled, "44th". Three of her poems were recently placed in an anthology calling for change for the Homeless. She is author of her own book of prose and poetry titled, "African Heritage, American Experience" Please check out her Poetry blog at http://akiliamina.blogspot.com. She is currently working on a collaboration project with a poetry colleague, Elizabeth Pinotti-Chapin on a book titled, "Poetic Hearts for Peace in Africa". This book is a poetic plea for peace in all war torn or places of civil unrest in Africa to become peaceful. She writes articles for living and contributes to several online magazines including "SISTRS for Power". Check out her blog regularly, it is close to its blogversary of one year and is an online journal of her Poetic Dream.
