Last time I wrote in this space I attempted to cure the lagging illness in this sports society that believes Carson Palmer is an elite quarterback. Now? Repeat after me: “The Jets are 1-1 and Brett Favre has been outplayed by Chad Pennington and Matt Cassel.” It’s true! The cult of personality around Brett Favre is outrageous. Favre is 9th in the NFL in passer rating. Aaron Rodgers is 5th…Packer fans are fine with Aaron Rodgers and should continue to be (silently waiting for Packer fans to crucify at first speed bump)
