    On April 6th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualty Private First Class James J. Coon, age 22, of Walnut Creek, Calif.,  Private First Class James Coon died April 4, 2007 in Balad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when in improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Private First Class James Coon was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

    On April 6th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualty Specialist Jason A. Shaffer, age 28, of Derry, Pa., Specialist Jason Shaffer, died April 5th, 2007 in Baqubah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when a vehicle-born improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Specialist Jason Shaffer,  was assigned to 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

    On April 7th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Navy Casualty Petty Officer 2nd Class Joseph C.Schwedler, age 27,of Crystal Falls, Mich., Petty Officer 2nd Class Joseph Schwedler died April 6 from enemy action while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq.   Petty Officer 2nd Class Joseph Schwedler was assigned to East Coast Navy SEAL Team.

    On April 7th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualty Private First Class Daniel A. Fuentes, age19, of Levittown, N.Y., Private First Class Daniel A. Fuentes died April 6th, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when in improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Private First Class Daniel A. Fuentes was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

    On April 8th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualty Sgt. Forrest D. Cauthorn, age 22, of Midlothian, Va., Sgt. Forrest Cauthorn died April 5th, 2007 in Hawijah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit came into contact with enemy forces using small arms and grenades during combat operations. Sgt. Forrest  Cauthorn was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

    On April 8th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualty Private First Class Jay S. Cajimat, age 20, of Lahaina, Hawaii, Private First Class Jay S. Cajimat died April 6th, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. Private First Class Jay S. Cajimat was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

    On April 8th, 2007, Department of Defense Announced the death of Army Casualties Staff Sgt. Jerry C. Burge, age 39, of Carriere, Mississippi and Cpl. Joseph H. Cantrell IV (The 4th), age 23, of Ashland, Ky.     Staff Sgt. Jerry C. Burge and Cpl. Joseph H. Cantrell IV (The 4th) died from wounds suffered on Apr. 4th, 2007 in Taji, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle. Staff Sgt. Jerry C. Burge and Cpl. Joseph H. Cantrell IV (The 4th)  were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

    Each of these fallen heroes have been announced on the US Department of Defense website.
