Jamareo Artis has been playing bass guitar since age 10. He is the bass player for Grammy Award winning Songwriter/Producer Bruno Mars, and a member of The Hooligans Band. Jamareo became known for winning MTV's Reality Show "Making His Band" in 2009. The show, executive produced by Sean 'Diddy' Combs, launched a nationwide search for young, talented musicians to compete for a spot in Diddy's band. The band would tour with Diddy's newly formed group 'Diddy Dirty Money' as they promoted his "Last Train To Paris" album.
Jamareo comes from a musical christian family in North Carolina. He has studied and perfected all styles of music, including Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Gospel, Country, Rock, Pop, and Bluegrass.
With his talent and dedication to his craft, Jamareo has earned himself the title of being 'a well respected and influential bass player' in the music industry, with many bass players worldwide wanting to mimic his style. Jamareo's instrument of choice is the Fender Bass, with which he has toured in sold-out arenas all around the world. He says "There is no other bass that better suits my needs than a Fender, from the tone to the feel of it"
We look forward to enjoying Jamareo's talent for many years to come as he makes his mark in the music industry.
