Why do sales managers always give the excuse "I don't have time to develop my people"? Perhaps either sales managers don't know how or haven't been developed themselves to develop their people....or they just simply don't want to. Certainly, I understand the boat load of responsibilities typical sales managers have on their plate, but, experience and reality tells us the more you spend time on improving the skill sets of your employees the more likely hood sales performance on the backend will be heightened.
